Lesley Carnus has been a teacher with adult English learners for more than 30 years. She regularly writes her own teaching material for the asylum seekers and refugees she works with at the University of Sydney. Lesley has also been a creative writer and her poetry has been published in a number of Australian and Overseas literary magazines. She has decided to self publish her writing and will add to this site regularly. This will include chapbooks of poetry, short stories for Adult English learners, as well as study workbooks that can be downloaded to use.
Our first publication is a reader “Tales of the City, Dreams of the Bush”. This is collection of stories set in Sydney as well as the bush. The stories are aimed at Basic to Intermediate Readers who want to improve their English language skills in an interesting and enjoyable fashion.
We are just at the beginning of this journey so I hope you will come back and join me from time to time.
